| Have you ever given a thought to how would it feel to live without the fear of cancer? Every day we hear about more people getting cancer - or dying from can- cer - all around us. . Years ago, it was mostly just people at advanced age that would get can- cer; unfortunately, this is not the case anymore. Cancer is about to over- take heart disease as the number one cause of death from disease. Now it seems to strike anyone, no matter what age, without warning, regardless of religion, race, or social or economic status. In the United States alone, one person dies from cancer every minute! Some have a family history of cancer, and live in constant fear of contract- ing the disease. Some even take the unimaginable decision of maiming themselves, in the hope that by doing this they will be spared. When somebody gets cancer, it affects and distorts the total life of the pa- tient. The terrifying effects on the family and the economic hardship it causes - more frequently than not - are sufficient to turn anybody's life up- side down. What may have been, until then, a happy life - is gone. Have you ever considered the possibility that you can do some- thing about it? Probably not. It is probable that you don't have the faintest idea about what you – one person – might be able to do, other than buying pink rib- bons and sticking them on the bumper of your car. And yes, you may fol- low advice from different sources regarding preventative measures, though very frequently contradictory and nebulous, about which you have absolutely no certainty. The diet ... yes, the diet is very important, as it is from the diet that you get the nutrients - amino acids and minerals - that your body needs to function properly and repair itself when there is some pathologic challenge – like cancer. But (and this is important), do you know if your digestive system is working properly? Do you know if your pancreas is delivering the enzymes to combine with your gastric acids in order to digest properly, breaking down the food proteins to release the actual nutrients and delivering them into your metabolic pathways? Again, most probably, you don't. When was the last time your doctor did a thorough examination of your digestive system? If you’re like most people – probably never. So, no matter how good your diet may be, it may still leave your body with deficiencies despite your concern and care of consuming only good food. Most diseases, if not all, arise from deficiencies of the digestive system or a plain and simple deficit of indispensable nutrients. Based on what you know to this point, do you think that anything you could do would eliminate the risk of contracting cancer at some point during your lifetime? Without certainty, your answer should be “no” – for how can you pos- sibly be sure? Do you know of any clinical procedure, i.e., a urine or blood test, that you can have periodically administered to verify whether you are at risk of contracting cancer, or to verify - with certainty - that you don't have a malignant process underway? No, you possibly can't, because there is no such test available, at present, to the general public. It exists how- ever, as this is one of the most important results of our research. Do you believe, if you have the misfortune of contracting cancer, that the technology and scientific knowledge currently available to treat it would be adequate to save your life? If you do believe in such a possibility then, unfortunately, you would be in for a very shocking surprise. According to recent studies, cancer cures by means of conventional treatments account for about 3% of all cases treated. And even then, considering that curing one episode of cancer doesn't represent that comprehensive clinical recovery has been achieved, the final result would probably be closer to 0%. Surviving with the disease is not the same as being cured; surviving with the chronic pain frequently associated with the disease, if not se- dated with morphine or similar drugs, may not make it worth surviving. This notwithstanding, about one trillion dollars a year is spent to pay for such results. But certainly – not for curing cancer! Since President Nixon declared war on cancer more than thirty years ago, practically no progress has been made in terms of advances for true early detection of cancer, true prevention, or genuine and provable thera- peutic means to treat the disease effectively. Despite what you hear – and the inflated statistics you see – this is a fact. What does this really mean? Simply, allopathic medicine has no way of eliminating both the effects - the malignant tumor/s - and the causes - of cancer. Officially, there is nothing available today to neutralize or eliminate the causal factors, basically because they haven't yet been discovered ... at least not by the orthodox scientific community. Eliminating all malignant cells in a cancerous organism, without simulta- neously eliminating the causes, is a practical impossibility (proven to date by conventional Medicine). Malignant cells don't come out of nowhere; they are normal cells that have acquired their malignant character because of unusual biochemical alterations in the organism. For as long as the causes remain present and active - because no treatments have been initiated to eliminate them - those causal factors will continue to generate malignancy. A grim outlook, isn't it? What would you do to change it? Yes, it's a grim outlook indeed. Next year there will be about ten million people – yes, ten million! - around the world suffering the consequences of the inability of the orthodox scientific community to come up with valid solutions for the cancer problem. But you have arrived at just the right time to do something - to assist in changing this situation to the point where cancer will cease to exist as a lethal disease, for your own benefit, and for the benefit of those you love. This is, however, an expensive undertaking, the first part of which - find- ing the technical solutions - has already been completed. We are now preparing for the second part of this fight: readying these solutions for clinical applicability. If you feel this is a cause worth fighting for – please make a donation. If at all possible, make a monthly commitment for an amount with which you are comfortable. So that you know, we are walking the walk. We at the AACS have, over many years now, invested all of our individual assets and dedicated the majority of our time to make this dream a reality. We realized early on that we had to do the right thing regardless of any assurances, compensation, or accolades. And we have. Now it’s your turn. Please page, make a donation, become an active member, and tell everybody you know about the American Anti-Cancer Society and what we are trying to achieve. If you decide to read Karkinos (and we sincerely hope you do), you will know everything you need to know about cancer - certainly more than most oncologists. Sincerely, Eduardo De la Maria, Ph.D. Executive Director Be looking for our next correspondence. In it, we will list the procedures we will need to implement and the steps we will need to take to achieve our purpose. This will give you a clearer picture of just what it will take to get to our destination - and how long it may take. November 10, 2009 |
